Jim takes the win in blistering style for Falco at the Leedstown Road Race today! and Steve continues to find his previous form and earns some well deserved points with a healthy 10th place finish! - After a solo rider made the break for the first 15 miles, Jim put in the attack and bridged the gap, followed by an attack by Sol - then between them and another couple of riders forming a select 5 man break, with a substantial gap over the peloton. Meanwhile, Steve, Kris, Stan and Ash did some solid work in the big bunch. The 5 man break hammered it, dropping one rider, then Sol who blew in style at the 40 mile mark. The now 3 man break managed to stay away, with jim putting the hammer down in the sprint to take a memorable victory. The peloton came in just 13 seconds behind, with Steve coming back into form, securing 10th place in a big sprint finish. But not before a pile-up further back in the bunch sprint, with Ash suffering some substantial ‘road rash’ and Kris taking a body plant and totally writing his Peregrine frame off in the drama. Thankfully no-one was seriously injured and Jim went on to take top of the podium on an excellent day of solid team action, drama, and glorious sunshine. Well done guys, keep this going!
